When Universities Build Programs Together
In 2025–2026, RUDN signed agreements to launch 7 new joint degree programs with universities in Zimbabwe, Ethiopia, Tanzania and Nigeria. All of them focus on one fast-growing field: data, artificial intelligence and space technology.
Bachelor’s program: Data Science and Space Systems;
Master’s program: Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Space Sciences.
Tanzania and the New Space Agenda
The joint programs of RUDN and the Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology train specialists at the intersection of artificial intelligence, data analysis and space technology. The bachelor’s program builds core skills in data science and space systems management, while the master’s program offers in-depth study of AI, machine learning and space sciences.
First Harare. Then Moscow.
Students spend their first year in Zimbabwe, studying applied statistics, relational databases, Python programming, geospatial technologies and the fundamentals of AI. They then continue at RUDN, going deeper into space systems, data analysis, neural networks and control of technical systems. Teaching is in English, and graduates receive degrees from both universities.
Master’s program: Artificial Intelligence and Space Sciences
PhD program: Systems Analysis, Control, Information Processing and Statistics
From Artificial Intelligence to Space Technology
The joint programs combine training in artificial intelligence, space sciences, systems analysis and statistics, giving students and postgraduates a strong mathematical and analytical foundation alongside modern data processing and systems control technologies.
Bachelor’s program: Data Science and Space Systems
Data as the Foundation of Space Technology
The program combines data analysis training with the study of space systems. Students master tools for working with big data and the digital technologies used in the space industry, Earth remote sensing and other high-tech fields.
